Salman Khan dresses up like a girl!

Bollywood’s macho man Salman Khan will be seen in girl’s attire in Sajid Nadiadwala’s soon-to-be-released flick Jaaneman .

As per reports, when the director Shirish Kunder asked Salman to dress up like a lady, the actor refused initially but eventually gave the shot according to the need of the director.

The film is a musical comic love story which also stars Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar with Salman. Aki and Salman’s jodi has already given a fabulous performance in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi where they were paired opposite Priyanka Chopra. And now the handsome jodi will be seen impressing the bubbly Preity.

Except one shot as a girl, Salman will be seen playing a stud, while Akshay will be seen in a rather geekier avatar.

The producer of the film, Sajid Nadiadwala, shelled out Rs 4 million to shoot a promo for the film. The promo, shot in Chennai, features top-notch special effects.

‘Jaaneman’ is slated to release on October 20.

Will Salman say ‘Yes’?

That ace costume designer Vikram Phadnis is planning to turn director is known to all and sundry. Although Vikram revealed his desire to direct a film quite some time back, he hasn’t started his film yet. “That’s because I’ve yet to finalize the star cast of my movie,” Vikram clarifies.

That shouldn’t be tough, since Vikram has been designing outfits for Salman Khan and having an access to the actor wouldn’t be tough. “I don’t think Salman will be a part of my film. That’s because he has commitments to fulfill. He has to clear the backlog and then move over to fresh assignments. I wish I could wait, but I can’t,” Vikram admits.

Meanwhile, Vikram is ready with the script of the film, which is being backed by a leading music company. Watch this space for more details on Vikram’s multi-hero set-up.

Salman refuses a cameo in Milenge Milenge

It’s a known fact that when Salman is your friend, he will go out of the way to help him out. But if Salman has a problem with someone, the person can be really taken for a ride. Salman Khan and Shahid Kapoor are not best of friends. And now Salman has given hints of his animosity.

Salman Khan has opted out of the Shahid-Kareena starrer Milenge Milenge. Salman Khan was initially supposed to do an extended special appearance for Satish Kaushik directed Milenge Milenge, produced by Boney Kapoor. Salman was doing this film as he developed a good rapport with Satish Kaushik during Tere Naam and with Boney Kapoor during No Entry.

Well the story goes that during the controversial Rockstars concert, Shahid and Kareena spent all their free time together while all the others were spending time together as a team. This thing did not go too well with Salman and hurt his ego. He felt that they were ignoring him. Salman being an emotional person did not want to associate himself with them anymore and hence withdrew from the movie.

Boney Kapoor has confirmed the news and has said that he respects Salman too much to ask him questions over backing out from the film. Salman was to play a pivotal role in this long delayed film. Well we hope Boney finds a suitable replacement for Salman so that Milenge Milenge can finally see the light of the day.

Indian media defaming me: Salman Khan

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has said the Indian media was defaming him by regularly portraying a negative off-screen image.

'There's a business section that wants to portray everything negatively so that they can sell magazines or get good top ratings on TV,' Salman was quoted as saying in the BBC Asian Network's Gagan Grewal show Friday.

The 41-year-old actor has been charged with killing two protected antelope species in 1998. Again in April he was given a five-year jail term - currently under appeal - for a separate hunting incident. He is currently on bail while his appeal is being heard.

Salman has denied these wrongdoings, saying his conviction was wrong and the judge sentenced him only because he wanted to make an example out of him.

'Apparently the judge said that openly,' Khan told the anchor.

'They wanted to set an example out of me... Who knew the black buck? I mean today because of me, people know there's an endangered species of deer called black buck, well it's actually an antelope.'

He is also facing trial in a hit-and-run case in Mumbai. One person was killed and three were injured when Salman allegedly drove into a group of pavement dwellers in 2002.
